What a wonderful photograph, makes me want to go back to Italy instantly 
I'm guessing from the direction of the deckchairs, that this is somewhere on the west coast ? I once went to Guilianova (sp ?) and was amazed to see all the deckchairs facing away from the sea, it looked really weird to me 
but then of course, here in the Netherlands we see the sun set into the sea, always... so maybe it just depends on what you're used to.
